RESCUE HOVERCRAFT
Our range of Rescue Hovercraft is designed specifically to meet the needs of Fire, and Police Departments engaged in rescue operations on ice, water, flooded areas, mud, sandbars, swamp areas and other dangerous surfaces. They can also be used as mobile diving platforms in body searches and for pressure ventilation of smoke filled buildings.

The 600 and 700 series have a single fan and are suitable for operations on smaller lakes and rivers. The 800 and 1000 are designed to operate on larger areas of water or where bigger payloads are needed. They have a higher freeboard and a greater hoverheight as well as being both larger, wider and more ruggedly built than the smaller single fan craft. They have large 4-cycle V-8 gasoline engines driving twin lift and thrust fans.

All models comply with Canadian and U.S. Coast Guard standards and have a complete flotation foam lining, extending higher than the lift-air outlet holes and preventing water entering the bottom hull and increasing the freeboard. Separate segmented rough service skirts can easily be changed. They contour the skirt system to choppy water and other surfaces preventing loss of lift air. The variable lift and thrust control system is standard on rescue models and provides a quick start over hump on water and low RPM full cushion speeds on ice, snow and water. All threaded fasteners are stainless steel and stainless steel or ceramic coated salt water mufflers and pipes are options.

Basic rescue equipment such as crew protection windshield, ring buoys, spotlight, night rescue lighting, bilge pumps and instrumentation are generally standard on all models. A wide range of optional equipment is available such as light bars, GPS, VHF radio, intercom, rescue and survival suits, hearing protectors, backboards and throwbags, etc.
